Some of you may know of a local forum to discuss…well…just about anything. It’s called Ignite Denver, and they describe their venue this way:
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they advanced automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world, geeks have been putting together ignite nights to show their answers. What have you got?
We recently submitted a “spark,” hoping to gain an opportunity to share Shutting Off with several hundred participants at the next Ignite Denver, scheduled for June 13. We need your help to push Shutting Off into the spotlight and onto the playbill for the next event.
Several “sparks” have been submitted here, where you can review an abstract and consider whether or not you’d like to know more. Please review these submissions, and then vote for the ones you’d most like to hear more about. Of course we’d love to have you vote for Shutting Off, but regardless of whether or not we are selected to present, Ignite is a venue you’ll enjoy. Think about Ted talks, but not as long or serious. Bonus: the upcoming Ignite Denver will be a “June-O-Ween,” so if you’re up for it, come dressed in costume!
